The Department of Protection, together with the territorial services and the Mahalla Seven, is conducting a set of preventive and awareness-raising activities aimed at turning territories into crime-free zones
To ensure security in the mahallas, law enforcement agencies regularly organize large‑scale preventive meetings and awareness-raising events. During these meetings, Protection personnel introduce the population to modern technical security equipment, explain the effectiveness of video surveillance systems, inform them about the types of protection services and the capabilities of operational groups for the early prevention of crimes and offenses. In addition, the citizens are presented with the Smart Home project.
Based on public opinion, plans have been developed for the exemplary and safe construction of streets and paths in mahallas. Concrete steps have already been taken: alarm buttons have been installed at the entrances to apartment buildings, and video surveillance cameras are being gradually installed on streets and sidewalks. At the same time, facilities, markets and shopping malls in the mahallas and adjacent territories are equipped with technical security equipment.
The implemented measures made it possible to organize online monitoring of territories and ensure round‑the-clock security. The Department of Protection continues its systematic work on the prevention of crimes in mahallas under the motto "Early suppression of offenses in each mahalla", paying special attention to the prevention of property crimes.
