At the initiative of the Head of the Protection Service of Ferghana region, a meeting was held in the «Yangiobod» mahalla of Yazyavan district — a locality classified as a «red category» area. The event focused on preventing offences, ensuring public safety, and effectively organising preventive work among residents.

The meeting brought together officials from the Internal Affairs Directorate, the deputy of khokim, representatives of the «mahalla seven», and local activists. Through an open dialogue, the participants thoroughly discussed existing challenges and current measures to curb offences. They proposed a number of recommendations aimed at eliminating the causes and conditions that facilitate illegal activities. Special attention was paid to developing concrete instructions designed to lift the area out of the «red category».

Following the meeting, the responsible officials promptly visited the local sites. They held in‑depth conversations with residents, during which they carefully examined the pressing social issues that concern the mahalla’s population.
