Visit of employees of the Protection Service of Syrdarya region to the Museum of Victims of Repression
As part of the staff’s spiritual and educational development programme, the Protection Service of Syrdarya region regularly organises cultural and educational activities, including excursions to historically significant sites across the region.
One such event was a visit to the Museum of Victims of Repression, which operates under Gulistan State University. During the tour, employees delved into the region’s history through documentary materials and exhibits that tell the stories of Syrdarya residents who faced political repression. The guides provided detailed accounts of individuals who, despite enduring severe hardships, remained true to their convictions and continued to work for the benefit of their native land.
Exploring the museum’s exposition enabled the employees to gain a deeper understanding of the tragic chapters in the nation’s history and to pay tribute to those who suffered during the years of repression. The event reinforced the importance of preserving historical memory and ensuring intergenerational continuity. Participants experienced a strengthened sense of patriotism and responsibility for safeguarding the nation’s heritage, along with a heightened respect for the sacrifices and achievements of their ancestors.
