As part of the nationwide Yashil Makon project, work is underway throughout the republic to plant and care for tree seedlings in mahallas, near multi-storey buildings and on central streets. Employees of the Department of Protection under the Ministry of Internal Affairs are also actively involved in this event.
In particular, employees of the Directorates of Protection of Tashkent and Kashkadarya regions, together with members of the public, recently planted seedlings of gujuma, catalpa, maple, acacia, chestnut, paulownia, poplar, almond and other ornamental trees, as well as flowers that delight the eye and exude a pleasant aroma, such as basil, lavender and chrysanthemums.
In addition, dry branches of trees were cut in the mahallas and the surrounding area was landscaped. Various types of seedlings and other ornamental trees have been planted along the internal roads, as well as ditches have been cleared. This age-old value, realized as part of the nationwide Yasil Makon project, has united everyone around a common goal once again.
The main purpose of such works is to appreciate the noble qualities inherent in our people, to instill kindness in the hearts of young people, and to make cities and districts green.
