A seminar was held at the Protection Service of Fergana Region, dedicated to the implementation of the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan «On additional measures aimed at introducing an integrated targeted system for creating a safe environment in the mahallas of the republic».
The event brought together officers from the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, representatives of the Advanced Training Institute, staff members of the Security Service apparatus, and operational personnel. Participants engaged in a thorough discussion of the decree’s essence and significance, as well as the priority tasks assigned to relevant agencies for its implementation. Special attention was given to the programme of targeted measures for establishing a safe environment in mahallas and to ways of enhancing the effectiveness of the early crime prevention system.
During the presentations, it was highlighted that systematic efforts in 2025 resulted in a 1.5‑fold reduction in crime rates within mahallas. The newly adopted decree aims to consolidate these achievements and advance the concept of a «crime‑free territory» through the full digitalisation of the sector.
The document sets higher responsibilities for the Security Service personnel. Every officer is expected to make a significant contribution to ensuring peace and security in mahallas, to justify the public’s trust, and to actively participate in building a safe environment. Relying on high professionalism, dedication, and selflessness of its staff, the Security Service consistently implements the principle «Safe Mahalla — Peaceful Life».
